Welcome to the web-site of Limerick City Social Inclusion Measures (SIM) Working Group. Limerick City SIM Group is a sub-group of Limerick City Development Board.
The role of the SIM Group is to support co-ordination of local activities aimed at enhancing social inclusion in Limerick City. Its primary task is to report to the City Development Board on progress surrounding implementation of the social inclusion actions contained within the Board’s 10-year Strategy for Economic, Social & Cultural Development (2002-2012).
On this site you will find more detailed information about the SIM Group’s key responsibilities, the agencies, organisations and groupings it represents and current issues related to social inclusion in Limerick City.
You will also find a Directory of Social Inclusion Services. This directory contains the names and details of local groups and organisations across the city which offer various services aimed at combating poverty and social exclusion. The directory contains a search engine that makes it possible for you to refine your search by scrolling through the following categories of information:
- Type of Service (i.e. services offered by organisations);
- Target Groups (i.e. individuals or groups assisted by organisations);
- Sector (i.e. sector to which each organisation belongs such as "Community & Voluntary");
- Location of Service (i.e. where organisations deliver their services within the city);
Every effort is made to ensure that details recorded in the data-base are accurate and up-to-date. You can help ensure this by contacting us with any amendments to your own organisation’s details as they arise.
Also, if your organisation is not currently included in the directory, but you think it should, please contact us directly.
